Will the Tiles Stay on My Wall?
This is the most important question to answer before you start — and the answer depends entirely on your wall surface.
The short version: smooth, non-porous surfaces work. Rough, textured, unpainted, or wet surfaces do not.

The key requirement: the surface must be smooth, flat, clean, and dry.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my wall is smooth enough?
Run your hand across the surface. If it feels completely flat with no texture you can feel with your fingertips, it's likely suitable. If you can feel any grain, bumps, or roughness, it is not suitable.
My wall is painted gypsum. Will it work?
Yes — if it has a smooth gloss or semi-gloss finish. Matte and flat paints are more porous and may not hold reliably. Unpainted gypsum is not suitable at all. When in doubt, test a single tile in an inconspicuous area and wait 24 hours before proceeding.
Can I apply the tiles to a freshly painted wall?
No. Wait at least 2–4 weeks after painting before applying tiles. Fresh paint continues to cure and off-gas, which weakens adhesive bonds. Applying too early is one of the most common causes of tiles falling off.
What if my wall has dust or residue on it?
Clean the surface thoroughly before applying. Wipe with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust. For grease or residue, use a mild cleaner and allow the surface to dry completely. Even a thin layer of dust or oil will significantly reduce adhesion.
Will the tiles fall off over time?
On suitable surfaces that are properly prepared, the tiles are designed for long-term adhesion. The most common causes of tiles falling off are:
- Applying to an unsuitable surface (rough, porous, or oily)
- Applying to a freshly painted wall before it has fully cured
- Applying in high-humidity or wet environments
- Surface not cleaned before application
Can I use the tiles in a bathroom or kitchen?
These tiles are designed for indoor decorative use only — they are not waterproof. Do not use them in shower areas, directly above sinks, or anywhere with direct water exposure or steam. In dry kitchen areas (such as a feature wall away from the sink or stove), they can work well on a smooth, non-porous surface. High humidity and moisture will weaken adhesion over time.
Can I remove the tiles without damaging my wall?
On most smooth, hard surfaces, tiles can be removed carefully without damage. Peel slowly from one corner at a low angle. On painted walls, there is a risk of paint lifting, particularly on older or lower-quality paint. We recommend testing in a small area first.
What if a tile falls off?
Check the surface first. If the surface is suitable, clean the area, allow it to dry completely, and reapply. If tiles are falling off repeatedly in the same area, the surface may have a localized issue (residue, texture, or moisture) that needs to be addressed first.
Is broken glass a safety concern?
The glass pieces are small (10mm×10mm) and set firmly in the adhesive backing. Under normal use, they do not shatter or produce sharp fragments. If a piece does come loose, it has smooth, polished edges — handle it carefully and dispose of it safely. We do not recommend this product for surfaces within reach of very young children or pets who may pull at the tiles.
